All About Plano's Gated Communities

There are approximately three to four gated subdivisions (communities) in Plano, Texas, which classify for inclusion on this page.  The areas which fall into the gated community category in Plano, Texas, are Normandy Estates, Cypress Point, Cliffs at Gleneagles/Greens of Gleneagles, and Ridgeview Ranch Estates.

From a price perspective, expect to pay more for the gated community of Normandy Estates.

Normandy Estates

Normandy Estates is a gated community in Plano, TX, which sits on the west side of the Dallas North Tollway and south of Sam Raburn Tollway (121) on the west side of Plano.  Custom builders constructed many of the homes in this gated community, and square footage on the houses range from approximately 3,500 square feet to over 6,000 square feet.

Homes in the gated neighborhood of Normandy Estates were built between about 2009 to 2018.  Again, the homes in Normandy Estates will typically be more expensive than the other houses on this list of gated communities in Plano.

Cliffs of Gleneagles and Greens of Gleneagles

A gated and guarded community, the Gleneagles neighborhoods are located near the Gleneagles Country Club on the border of Plano and North Dallas.

The homes in the Gleneagles communities were built in the late 1990s but still hold their value due to their grand architecture, excellent school district, proximity to the country club, and the fact that the homes are gated and guarded.

Expect to find the homes in Gleneagles to have between 3,300 and 7,000 square feet with the number of bedrooms ranging from three to five.

Cypress Point

Cypress point has a gated entrance, which makes it more secure access to this Plano community.  This gated neighborhood has a greenbelt as well.  Homes in Cypress Point were built around the mid-1990s but still hold their value well due to the school district, location in Plano (just west of the Dallas North Tollway and south of Parker Road), and proximity to Prestonwood Country Club.

Homes in Cypress point will be anywhere from about 3,000 square feet to over 4,000 square feet.
