Homes for Sale L Streets Dallas
L Streets homes for sale are located in the 75238 zip code of Dallas. The neighborhood of the L Streets in Dallas TX is defined as north of E Northwest Highway, south of McCree Road, east of Ferndale Road and west of Plano Road. The area gets its name from the number of streets starting with the letter L like - Longmont, Leaside, Linkwood, Lynford, Lanshire, Livenshire, and others. The proximity of the area gives residents excellent access to 635 (LBJ Freeway), Interstate 75 (Central Expressway), Lake Highlands, East Dallas, Forest Hills, Downtown Dallas, Lakewood, M Streets, Lower Greenville Avenue, SMU, Uptown, Turtle Creek, Victory Park, and West Village.
The homes on the L Streets are assigned to the popular Richardson ISD with children attending the following RISD public schools: Lake Highlands Elementary School, Lake Highlands Junior High, and Lake Highlands High School. The location of the area and the zoning to Richardson ISD make for slightly higher prices per square foot as the area is technically in the City of Dallas but zoned to the Richardson ISD. Richardson ISD is one of the higher rated public school districts within the DFW area, so this neighborhood does not have homes on the market very long due to the desire of buyers to be in RISD.
L Streets homes were originally constructed around the year 1950 and the houses in the area give buyers original features like hardwood flooring, period tile work, smaller floor plans generally on single story homes with small square footage between 1300 to 1800 square feet. Buyers will find homes in the L Streets with two to three bedrooms and one to two bathrooms in older homes. The original homes also offer buyers a choice between architecture styles like mid-century modern homes and ranch-style homes. These older homes price from approximately the high $200,000's to the higher $300,000's.
There is also newer construction happening on the L Streets with homes pricing in the high $400,000's. David Weekley is one of the major builders working on new construction homes in the area.
