Starwood is one of Frisco's oldest gated communites. Homes in Starwood were constructed beginning in approxmiately the late 1990s. In addition, Starwood is still considered one of Frisco's best gated communities because the entrances are staffed 24 hours per day with private security. Each neighborhood visitor must register with the guard on duty and obtain a temporary pass to be allowed within the neighborhood. The community is also patrolled 24 hours per day by the private security. HOA dues in Starwood's gated neighborhood can be a little high, but the higher HOA dues pay for the private security and many of the subdivision's residents enjoy the peace of mind.
Located near the Stonebriar Country Club, the gated communities of homes in Stonebriar offer buyers both the security of monitored gated entrances along with luxury homes. This Frisco gated community is located north of 121 (Sam Rayburn Tollway) and along S. Legacy Drive. Behind the gates of Stonebriar, the area offers townhomes and luxury homes (some with golf course views). One thing buyers need to know when shopping in Stonebriar is that some of the homes are zoned to the Lewisville ISD while others are zoned to Frisco ISD. If schools are important to your purchase, please verify the zoning of each particluar home you view.
Newman Village is west of the North Dallas Tollway and situated in Denton County. While the gates at Newman Village are not (yet) guarded by staff, the subdivision is surrounded by gated entrances and exits and brick walls. In addition to being a gated community, Frisco's Newman Village has some of the most unique architecture in all of Frisco. Buyers can find plantation looking homes, traditional, European inspired architecture and more all within the same subdivision. Most of the homes in the gated community of Newman Village are considered luxury properties and prices will reflect.
Hills of Kingswood
The Hills of Kingswood is located in west Frisco. The gated Hills of Kingswood community is ultra luxury. Homes in the subdivision are generally two story and at least four bedrooms and bonus rooms like media rooms, mud rooms, offices, gamerooms, and three car garages. This gated neighborhood is guarded by security and all guests must register with security before gaining entranace into the neighborhood. The Hills of Kingswood is zoned to the Lewisville ISD, even though it sits in the City of Frisco.
