Flower Mound TX homes for sale are located in Denton County which is north of Dallas in the zip codes of 75022 and 75028.  The Flower Mound real estate is loosely defined as north of Grapevine Lake, east of Interstate 35W, west of Interstate 35E and south of College Parkway.  The location gives residents and owners excellent proximity to the surrounding cities of Double Oak, Lewisville, Lantana, Denton, Grapevine, Westlake, Southlake and Coppell.  The location also has a short, approximate 20 minute commute to DFW International Airport.

Real estate in Flower Mound is an excellent investment. Home prices have gone up 13% over the past year and are predicted to continue going up another 7% over the next year. Auburn Farms - KHOV is the primary builder in Auburn Farms.  Auburn Farms describes itself as a single family, new home community in Flower Mound and provides great location between Fort Worth and Dallas, Texas and has excellent access entertainment & is zoned to the Lewisville ISD.  KHOV's sale's office is located at 3637 Fletcher Court.  The prices on Auburn Farms listings start from $769,900 – $799,900.

Regency Park

Regency Park describes the community as quiet and offering larger lot sizes - 1/3 an acre.  The community is zoned to the Lewisville ISD and has a Tree Park in the middle of the development.  Huntington Custom Homes is the primary builder of in Regency Park.  The starting prices in Regency Park range from $726,990 – $872,990, so properties tend to be on the higher and more luxury side.  Huntington is offering buyers in Regency Park a choice of eighteen floor plans ranging in size from approximately 3100 square feet to 5000 square feet on both one and two stories with bedrooms between three and five bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms to five and a half bathrooms.  The plans offered by Huntington are as follows and are listed from most expensive homes to least expensive plans.  The prices next to the plans are the starting prices and will increase as options and amenities are added: 4626 Plan ($876,990), 6791 Plan ($865,990), 6181 Plan ($852,990), 6781 Plan ($850,990), 6721 Plan ($846,990), 3970 Plan ($838,990),  6741 Plan ($834,990), 3950 Plan ($827,990), 6731 Plan ($816,990), 6171 Plan ($814,990) and several other plans. 


Lakeside is a new subdivision on the shores of Lake Grapevine in Flower Mound.  The subdivision states that it mixes suburban lifestyle with a retreat feel.  American Legend, Darling, and Southgate are the three main builders in the subdivision.  Children within the area attend Lewisville ISD schools of Bluebonnet Elementary School, Shadow Ridge Middle School, and Flower Mound High School.  

Southgate Homes  is offering six floor plans for buyers in Lakeside and they range in size from approximately 3400 square feet to 4400 square feet with between four and five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms to four and a half bathrooms. Darling Homes - Live on 150 acres on Lake Grapevine.  The development is continuing beyond just residential construction and will eventually have shopping, parks, dining and lake access. Toll Brothers Homes - The Toll Brothers are offering luxury properties for sale in The Preserve with nine floor plans from which buyers may choose with square footage between approximately 3000 to 4200 square feet with between three and five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms to five and a half bathrooms.  The larger, more expensive floor plans by the Toll Brothers will include bonus spaces like three car garages, game rooms, media rooms, planning rooms and more spaces within the larger square footage.  The pricing on these listings by the Toll Brothers starts from $573,995 – $899,778.  The plans for Toll Brothers at Preserve are as follows and are listed by most expensive plan to least expensive plan.  Please note the price next to each plan is only the starting price and will change as upgrades and amenities are added to the individual home: Montpellier (from $636,995), Vitoria (from $629,995), Avila (from $619,995), Bellwynn (from $613,995), Stanton (from $596,995), San Augustine ($596,995), Stonebridge ($585,995), St Thomas ($579,995) and Marquette ($573,995).

Creekside at Heritage Park - This subdivision is surrounded by big, mature trees, Bakers Branch Creek and 300 acres of Parks.  The community is full of luxury properties and set in a charming suburban setting.  The community description states that buyers will enjoy the serene moments of small-town life with metropolitan conveniences.  The development is zoned to the excellent schools and boasts excellence in their superior design and quality craftsmanship.  The primary builder within Creekside at Heritage Park is the Toll Brothers.  Toll Brothers at Heritage Park is offering buyers a selection of nine floor plans with between 3200 square feet to almost 6000 square feet with four to five bedrooms and prices starting from $575,995 – $748,950.


Terracina at Flower Mound - located in the vibrant Town of Flower Mound, these new listings are across from the Shops at Highland Village.  The builders describe the new construction houses as built on oversized sites at 1/3 of an acre and as sophisticated and luxurious.  The development boasts excellent schools and close location to great entertainment, shopping and dining.  The community features a greenbelt and views.  The main builder within the Terracina area is the Toll Brothers.  The location of the subdivision is at the intersection of FM 407 and Chinn Chapel Road.

The Toll Brothers in Terracina have eleven floor plans from which buyers may choose their new home.  The Toll Brothers are some of the top builders in the DFW area.  The pricing in Terracina starts from $566,995 – $683,995.  The eleven floor plans range in size from approximately 3200 to almost 6000 square feet with between four and five bedrooms on both one and two stories.  The plans offered by Toll Brothers are as follows and are listed from most expensive plan to least expensive plan: Montelena, Vinton, McKinley, Venetian, Cartegena, Vitoria, Palazzo, Bellwynn, Monfort, Stanton and Arborglen.

Hunters Glen

Hunters Glen -  a master-planned community, this development is just south of Cross Timbers Road near Firewheel Drive.  Darling Homes is the prominent builder in the area and offer plans from 3000 to 4500 square feet on generous sites.  The Hunters Glen area is served by the Lewisville ISD.  The Hunters Glen community also features a greenbelt for residents.

Darling has eight floor plans starting in price from $535,990 – $731,731.  These new construction builds go from 3000 square feet to 5000 square feet of one and two story plans with the number of bedrooms between three and five.  The more expensive plans in Hunters Glen will feature additional spaces for buyers like three car garages, studies, media rooms, game rooms and outdoor patios.  The plans offered by Darling are as follows and are listed from most expensive starting price to least expensive starting price: 7275 Plan, 7255 Plan, 7490 Plan, 7445 Plan, 7436 Plan, 7422 Plan, 7416 Plan and the 7225 Plan.  There are also a few specs currently listed within the Hunters Glen subdivision which are ready for purchase now. 

Parkside at Woodlake

Parkside at Woodlake - this development by Darling Homes is championing itself based upon its central location with easy access to major highways, tollways and freeways, employment areas, shopping, dining and its close proximity to DFW International Airport.  The development also boasts traditional style with classic brick and stone elevations.  Darling is offering buyers the opportunity to customize and personalize the indoor and outdoor living spaces.  The development will also feature open spaces and parks with a greenbelt.  The Parkside at Woodlake community is located off Freeport Parkway/Lakeside Parkway and Long Prairie Road.

Legends - An age restricted community for adults 55 and over, The Legends subdivision in Flower Mound is located west of 2499/Long Prairie Road and south of FM 407/Justin Road.  The community features amenities like a pool and greenbelt for residents.  Village Builders and Lennar Homes are the two main builders in the Legends subdivision.

Three school districts provide excellent educational opportunities for your children.  Schools in Flower Mound average a 14.5 to 1 student-teacher ratio. Most of the town falls under the Lewisville Independent School District. The Argyle Independent School District and the Northwest Independent School District also have schools inside city limits. There are also two private schools, Explorations Preparatory School and Coram Deo Academy. Flower Mound High School is one of the "top ten best public high schools" in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, ranked "Exemplary" by  the Texas Education Agency. Edward S. Marcus High School was named a Blue Ribbon School by the U. S. Department of Education. In addition to being close to Dallas and Fort Worth for higher education, North Central Texas College has a community college campus in Flower Mound.


Flower Mound has 54 parks. The new dog park opened June 5, 2015, at Heritage Park. There are plenty of shopping opportunities in and around Flower Mound. The Highlands of Flower Mound, Highlands Ranch, and Robertson's Creek Shopping Mall have a wide variety of shops and restaurants.


There are two golf courses in Flower Mound, providing an opportunity for fresh air, healthy exercise, having fun with friends, and networking with business associates. Tour 18 Dallas recreates holes from famous golf courses around the world. Bridlewood Golf Club is one of the top ten golf courses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.  

History of Flower Mound

The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is four miles south of Flower Mound. Its construction was largely responsible for the growth of Flower Mound. With a current population of 65,330, the town has had a population growth of over 27% since 2000.

Flower Mound is named for a 12 1/2 acre hill, approximately 50 feet high, which is covered by Indian grasses, bluestems, and other wildflowers.

The first settlers arrived in Flower Mound in the 1840s, on land that had once been claimed by the Caddo Native American nation. The town was not incorporated until 1961.  In 1970 the town had 1,685 residents. At that time, it began a planned community project with the help of the Department of Housing and Urban Development's New Community program. The construction of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport    in 1974 sparked an era of rapid growth. Flower Mound's population increased from 4,402 to 15,896 between 1980 and 1990. By 2001, Flower Mound was the ninth fastest growing municipality in the United States; its population at that time was more than 50,000.
