Argyle is a suburb located just north of the City of Dallas in Denton County in the 76226 zip code.  Acreage and land and is one of the reasons people looking for a little escape from the big city tend to gravitate toward Argyle real estate. Properties in Argyle start around $300,000. The priciest real estate will come with the most land with most zoned so that residents may have horses and livestock on their properties.

Architectural Styles

"Country style" will describe almost all of the homes for sale in Argyle, Texas.  Buyers will also find that the Argyle homes may have a Mediterranean or European flare to their architectural designs with stone elevations giving them a look from old world Europe.  Traditional is also a prevalent style of homes in Argyle.  Buyers will not find hard-edged styles of properties like contemporary, modern, lofts, condos, etc...  The real estate in the City of Argyle consists of strictly single-family detached properties.

Homes for sale in Argyle tend to be on the more expensive side of the Metroplex's housing suburbs.  With an average listings near $800,000, Argyle real estate in the area tends to fetch some substantial prices. 

Pricing on Argyle Texas homes for sale generally runs from a low of $300,000 to over $5,000,000.  If a buyer is seeking more luxury living, our Realtors would suggest staring in the subdivisions listed below.

Over $1,000,000

The Argyle subdivisions matching the luxury homes category include but are not limited to: Estates of Pilot Knob and Hickory Hill Estate.  However, most luxury homes for sale in Argyle will not be situated in a subdivision.  Rather, they are recognized by the city's plats as their own farms where horses will be permitted.  Spending over $1,000,000 on a home in the Argyle area will generally come with substantial acreage attached to the properties.  

If a buyer is seeking that luxury, country-style house in DFW, Argyle homes would be a fantastic place to start their search.  Again, most of the luxury real estate for sale will give that buyer the feel of country-style living.  Please know that buyers will not find too many new construction homes for sale within this price range.  The real estate listings over $1,000,000 generally mirror more of a farm or ranch style look in Argyle and were built many years ago.

$750,000 to $1,000,000

This price point in will see substantially more subdivision type Argyle homes for sale within a buyer's search.  While the real estate within this range will offer larger lot sizes, the abundance of acreage is not found.  This is due to two factors - (1) these Argyle homes are much truer to the description of builder subdivision homes, and (2) the pricing point does not allow for large acreage properties.

Argyle homes for sale in the range of $750,000 to $1,000,000 may be found in the following subdivisions: Lively Estates, Liberty Crossing, Frenchtown Manor, Estates of Pilot Knob, Skyline Park, 5T Ranch and Hickory Hill Estate.

This price range will offer buyers some good selections on new construction real estate in Argyle as well.

$500,000 to $750,000

Argyle homes for sale in the $500,000 to $750,000 range will buy a new buyer some great properties.  There are some excellent new construction homes within this range from which a buyer may choose.  In addition, the new homes for sale in Argyle are being built by some of the top builders in DFW.

The following subdivisions will offer the best selection within this price range: Finchers Bend, 5T Ranch, Estates of Pilot Knob, Steeplechase, Oaks of Argyle, The Settlement, Hickory Crossing, The Oaks, Woods at Hickory Hill, Juniper, Harvest Orchard, Canyon Oaks, Palmetto and Hillside Estate.

$300,000 to $500,000

The $300,000 to $500,000 listings are generally the least expensive for homes for sale in Argyle.  However, the $300,000 to $500,000 range still gives buyers excellent selections of available houses with some new construction as well.  Within this price point, buyers will generally get between 2500 and 4000 square feet with three to four bedrooms.  Many of the new construction listings will fit into this category. 

The subdivisions within this price range include but are not limited to: Hillside Estate, Woods of Argyle,  Harvest Orchard, Steeplechase, Argyle Town Village, Harvest Gardens and Country Lakes.

Canyon Falls

Canyon Falls is a new subdivision of homes in Argyle and is it popular!  Builders have converged on the development and the builders include Drees Homes, Coventry Homes, Highland Homes, Ashton Woods Homes, Toll Brothers Homes and K Hovnanian Homes.  Zoned to the Argyle Independent School District, children living within the houses in Canyon Falls will attend Hilltop Elementary School, Argyle Middle School and Argyle High School.  The new construction Argyle homes in this community will have access to features like - resort-style amenities, clubhouse with infinity pool, sports facilities, hiking/biking trails and 300 acres green spaces.

  • Coventry Homes offers buyers twelve individual floor plans with pricing starting from $405,989 – $512,247 with square footage ranging from approximately 2500 square feet to 3800 square feet.  The Coventry designs are on one and two stories with three to six bedroom options and number of bathrooms from two and a half to four full baths.  Upgrades like game rooms, three car garages and data areas may be found in the larger, more expensive properties.  The houses offered on Canyon Falls designs by Coventry are as follows: Design 3767, Design 3763, Design 3747, Design 3731, Design 3630, Design 3599, Design 3374, Design 3341, Design 2884, Design 2766, Design 2542, Design 2541.  This Argyle new construction real estate is traditional architecture with brick and stone veneer elevations but do have small details mimicking Craftsman and Tudor styling.
  • Drees Homes is building in Argyle's Canyon Falls and price starting from $509,900 – $624,990.  Drees is offering ten unique options on with 3200 square feet to nearly 4800 square feet on one and two stories with three to five bedrooms.  The more expensive and larger options offer bonus rooms such as a study, game room and three car garages.  The listings show traditional thoughts as the architecture but do have some definite European influencing with brick and stone exteriors.  The plans by Drees are as follows and are listed from most expensive plan to least expensive plan: Ensenada, Brinkley, Oakley II, Antonio, Bracken III, Ravenna, Grayford, Landis, Lorenzo III and Santiago. 
  • Highland Homes is offering buyers eighteen (18) different designs from which to choose in this Argyle subdivision.  Buyers may choose new houses with three to five bedrooms and 2600 to 3800 square feet on one or two stories.  Pricing houses by Highland price from $444,990 – $556,071. 
  • Toll Brothers Homes is of the better builders in the DFW Metroplex and the Toll Brothers have a development within Argyle where they are offering buyers eleven (11) individual designs ranging in square footage from approximately 3100 square feet to 4600 square feet with three bedrooms to five bedrooms.  The Toll Brothers definitely has a mixture of European and Mediterranean design influences.  Pricing starts from $463,995 – $624,185.  The eleven options in the subdivision are listed as follows and are in order from most expensive plan to least expensive: Maltese, Vitoria, Bellwynn, Newcastle, San Michele, San Augustine, Crafton, Stonebridge, Milanese, Mirabel and Yorkshire. 

Carnegie Ridge

Carnegie Ridge -  The builder of these new properties in Argyle is Gehan Homes.  Gehan describes their development in Argyle as a quaint community in a great natural setting.  The development has greenbelt views, hiking and bike trails.  Carnegie Ridge is zoned to the Denton ISD.

  • Gehan is offering buyers seven unique, individual designs with square footage between 1800 square feet and 3300 square feet with choices of three to five bedrooms.  These Argyle houses are a traditional architecture styling with brick and stone exterior elevations.  Pricing is reasonable starting from $248,990 – $351,659 and makes living in a new construction home in Argyle very affordable for most budgets.  These are some of the most affordable new construction real estate in Argyle or in the entire DFW Metroplex.  The houses offered by Gehan are as follows and are listed from the most expensive to the least expensive: Sycamore, Rosewood, Redwood, Magnolia, Aspen, Laurel and Mahogany. 

Harvest

Harvest - Comprised of several different communities in one, the development feature Harvest 50's, Harvest 60's, Harvest Gardens and Harvest Orchard.  The builders involved in this project are as follows: Highland, Plantation and David Weekley.  Harvest was developed by Hillwood Communities and is described as "...a place to gather, grow and live where family and community come first."  The community is comprised of 1150 acres, is designed to be mixed-use and is zoned to the Argyle Independent School District and was awarded the Silver NAHB 2015 Master Planned Community Winner.

  • Highland Homes Harvest 50's -  The 50's stands for the size of the lot - a 50 foot lot.  Offering Argyle buyers twelve different designs on one and two stories, these new construction listings range in square footage from approximately 2000 square feet to almost 3100 square feet with three to five bedrooms and price starting from $308,990 – $405,203.  These listings, along with the Harvest Gardens homes by David Weekley, are the two least expensive options in the developement. 
  • David Weekeley Harvest Gardens -  David Weekeley is a very reputable builder in Argyle and across the nation.  Weekley is offering buyers eight designs from which to choose in Harvest Gardens with pricing starting from from $300,990 – $347,990 and square footage from around 2100 to 3300 square feet on one and two stories with three to five bedroom options.  The houses offered in Harvest Gardens are as follows and are listed from most expensive plan to least expensive plan: Prestwick ($347,990), Weidman ($341,990), Strickland ($328,990), Jewell ($327,900), Larmona ($317,990), Cedaridge ($311,990), Herrick ($311,990) and Gatewood ($300,990).
  • Highland Harvest 60s - Highland is building in the Argyle Harvest 60s section of the Harvest.  The 60s denotes the size of the lots - as in 60' lots, which are both bigger than the 50s and a touch more expensive in pricing. The 60s lots start from $346,990 – $466,273.  Highland is offering eleven floor plans for buyers in Harvest 60s.  Buyers get to choose from designs ranging in square footage from approximately 2500 square feet to 4000 square feet with three to five bedrooms.  The larger plans will give buyers the options of bonus rooms like a game room, play room, media room and other options like an outdoor living space and three car garage. 
  • Plantation in Harvest 60s - Plantation is also building in the Harvest 60s area of Argyle and Plantation is offering their new construction listings starting from $349,990 – $509,055.  A touch more expensive in starting price than the Highland listings above, but very comparable in size and amenities.  Plantation is offering buyers thirteen floor plans with square footage between 2500 square feet to 4000 square feet on one or two stories with between three and five bedrooms.  The larger houses built by Plantation gives buyers extra spaces like upstairs game rooms, three car garages and downstairs master bedrooms.

David Weekley Harvest Orchard - David Weekley is the builder of the most expensive listings in this Argyle subdivision with prices on these Harvest Orchard houses starting from $399,990 – $569,156.  Weekley gives buyers choices of 3000 to 4200 square feet with four or five bedrooms on one or two stories.  The Weekley designs in Harvest Orchard feature sleek European architectural influence with some of the plans offering a strong taste in design toward Craftsman architecture.  Those wanting custom looking architecture with more designer architectural features will love the Weekley designs in Harvest Orchard.
