Richardson Texas Real Estate

Richardson Texas homes for sale are located mostly in Dallas County with a small piece of the city in Collin County.

Richardson is a suburb located north of the City of Dallas in Dallas County along I75 (Central Expressway).  Richardson was chartered in 1873 and named for railroad contractor E.H. Richardson.  According to the most recent US Census data on Richardson, Richardson had a population of just over 100,000 people with a median income close to $83,000.

Real estate in Richardson ranges in price from less than $100,000 to over $1,000,000.

Luxury Over $1,000,000

There are not very many real estate listings in Richardson which are over the $1,000,000 mark, however the neighborhoods with homes over $1,000,000 will be found in Cantera and Breckinridge.  These listings will be on the eastern side of the city and will be zoned to the Plano ISD with Plano East being the high school assigned to the neighborhoods.

In this price range, buyers can expect to find all of the most modern design features, amenities and upgrades.  Most of the listings over $1,000,000 will have been constructed after 2000.  The properties will include game rooms, media rooms, hardwood flooring, stone counters, large kitchens, master retreats and more.  Just as in any other city around DFW, $1,000,000 in Richardson will get you a nice home!

$750,000 to $1,000,000

Real estate in the $750,000 to $1,000,000 price range will give buyers homes which are just a notch below supreme luxury, but still buy very nice houses.  Within the $750,000 to $1,000,000 price point, buyers may look in the following neighborhoods: Canyon Creek, Breckinridge, Creekdale Estates, Richardson Heights and Prairie Creek.

Buyers will find some of the homes in the $750,000 to $1,000,000 range to be a tad older than the luxury real estate and may need a bit of updating due to the age.

$500,000 to $750,000

Buyers may find Richardson homes priced between $500,000 to $750,000 zoned to either the Richardson ISD or the Plano ISD.  The following neighborhoods: Richardson Heights, Prairie Creek Estates, Richland Meadows, Canyon Park, Briarwood and Ingram Terrace.

Ingram Terrace is a new construction development by David Weekley in Richardson but is zoned to the Plano ISD.  The other homes within this price range will let buyers find single story or two story listings which were built as far back as the 1960's.  Some of the real estate listings may need some updating to bring them to today's popular building standards.  However, this is a very respectable price range in Richardson.
