Overview

Coppell homes are located in the northwest corner of Dallas County. Coppell, Texas and has an estimated population of 39,000 residents and has experienced major growth due to the opening of DFW International Airport in 1974. The city was transformed to a large, upper-middle class suburban community in the 1980s and 1990s and the boom of real estate in Coppell followed. Coppell TX homes for sale are located in Dallas County in the northwest area of the county.  The location gives residents and owners excellent proximity and access to DFW International Airport via 635 (LBJ Freeway), Flower Mound, Lewisville, Lewisville Lake, Grapevine, Colleyville, Irving, Southlake, downtown Dallas, Love Field, north Dallas, northwest Dallas and several other areas around DFW.

Architectural Styles

The homes for sale in Coppell are mostly of traditional or light European inspired architecture with brick exteriors with the newer construction using both brick and stone exterior elevations.  Very few contemporary or modern properties will be found within the city.  However, newer developments like Main Street are starting to go back to early 20th century building trends with the use of Craftsman style architecture using siding, wrap-around porches, square columns and other design mostly associated with older styles.

Coppell real estate listings generally price from the low $200,000's to over $1,000,000. The median value is about $350,000 with almost an 11% increase over the past twelve months.  Buyers can find those traditional floor plans and exteriors along with the more expensive real estate which will feature exterior and interior looks modeled after a European design with clean lines, tall vaulted ceilings, lush landscape and Mediterranean type architectural designs.

The area also features townhouses which may be found in the areas like the Main Street & Old Town.

Over $1,000,000

If a buyer is wanting luxury, our Realtors would point a buyer to subdivisions like Hidden Valley Estates, St. Andrews Estates, Windsor Estates, Northlake Woodlands, Brighton Manor, Magnolia Park, Woodlands, Lauren Estates, Cottonwood Estates and the Chateaus.

At this price range, buyers will find all the luxury amenities one can expect to find in this price range like granite and stone counters, chef kitchens, commercial stainless steel appliances, abundant storage and more.

$750,000 to $1,000,000

A majority of the nicer real estate will be found within this price range.  Here, buyers will find listings from 3000 to 5000 square feet with three to five bedrooms, two to three car garages, mostly updated or newer construction with granite counters, nice appliances, larger bedrooms and closets, updated bathrooms and more.  Besides the luxury category mentioned above, this class and price range of houses will compete with any other surrounding cities on the amenities and desirability of the subdivisions and areas.

Buyers may find these properties in the following subdivisions: Alexander Court, Nash Manor, Brighton Manor, Lauren Estates, Irby, Grand Cove Estates, Prestwick and Magnolia Park.

Buyers can find older houses which will have larger lots and more room for the buyer.  Or, a buyer may also find a brand new construction home within this price range.

$500,000 to $750,000

Buyers will have a large selection and will be found in the following subdivisions and neighborhoods: Belmont Landing, Chateaus of Coppell, Bellacere, Irby, Woodlands, Arbor Meadows, Magnolia Park, Shadow Ridge Estates, Peninsulas, Westhaven, Big Cedar, Enclaves on Parkway, Gibbs Station, Copperstone, Waterside Estates, North Lake Woodlands, Riverchase and Village at Cottonwood Creek.

$250,000 to $500,000

The least expensive category will be found in the range of $250,000 to $500,000.  Some of the listings for sale will be in the same subdivisions and neighborhoods mentioned above.  However, the houses (although in the same neighborhoods) will tend to either be smaller with fewer number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and/or will need extensive TLC or updating.  The $250,000 price point is definitely on the lower end of the pricing scale to reside within the city.  However, buyers may still find a very good selection of real estate between $400,000 and $500,000.  The options of listings become very slim under about the $400,000 mark.

Real estate between $250,000 and $500,000 can be found in the following subdivisions and neighborhoods - Asbury Manor, Northlake Woodlands, River Ridge, Gibbs Station, Westhaven, Riverchase Estates, Cottonwood Estates and Park Meadow.

Belmont Landing

Belmont Landing - Located near the intersection of E. Beltline Road and S. MacArthur Boulevard, the new construction properties are being built by David Weekley.  Children living within Belmont Landing attend the schools of Austin Elementary, East Middle School and Coppell High School.  David Weekley has some specs currently available within the development.  Current spec pricing starts from approximately $649,000 to $745,000.  On custom builds, Weekley is offering buyers seven individual floor plans with pricing on builds starting from $545,990 – $685,004.  The building plans offered on Belmont Landing listings by David Weekley range in square footage from approximately 2900 square feet to 4200 square feet on both one and two stories with choices between three and five bedrooms.  The larger floor plans will give buyers extra spaces like flex spaces, retreat spaces and media rooms.  All plans come with two car garage spaces.  The plans offered by Weekley are as follows and are listed from highest to lowest.  The prices indicated beside each plan are the starting prices and can increase with buyer choices of finishes, upgrades and amenities: Buckfield ($649,990), Almondwood ($625,990), Silverdale ($615,990), Meadowood ($587,990), Longfield ($580,990), Ironwood ($575,990) and Silverheel ($545,990).

Westhaven

Chalet at Westhaven by Standard Pacific - children living within these new listings by Standard Pacific attend Cottonwood Elementary School, West Middle School and Coppell High School.  The Chalet at Westhaven is part of two new developments by Standard Pacific.  The other community by Standard Pacific is mentioned below - Chateau at Westhaven.  Of the two developments in Westhaven by Standard Pacific, the Chalet is the less expensive of the two.  Standard Pacific is offering buyers five individual floor plans at Chalet.  The properties range in square footage from approximately 2600 square feet to 3300 square feet and have three to four bedrooms and are all built on two story plans. The following plans at Chalet at Westhaven and are listed from highest priced plan to lowest priced plan: Riverton ($486,000), Preston ($466,000), Bradford ($458,000), Rockwood ($456,000) and Sheffield ($440,000).

Chateau at Westhaven by Standard Pacific - The more expensive of the Standard Pacific Homes, the Chateau at Westhaven offer buyers of these new properties nine individual floor plans ranging in starting price from $529,000 – $633,217.  Like the Chalet mentioned above, these new houses are also zoned to the Coppell Independent School District, which is a large drawing factor.  The plans on the builds at Chateau by Standard Pacific range in square footage between approximately 3000 square feet to 4100 square feet with between three and five bedrooms with all plans built on two stories.  The plans for the Chateau at Westhaven are as follows and are listed from least expensive to most expensive in starting price: Westbrook ($599,000), Kennedy ($594,000), Auburn ($584,000), Melrose ($569,000), Pinehurst ($557,000), Cumberland ($545,000), Newport ($544,000), Oakhurst ($543,000) and Westbury ($529,000).

East Lake

East Lake by Toll Brothers - East Lake is a development offering new houses to buyers wanting to start pricing from $500,995 – $673,500.  The Toll Brothers are giving buyers options between three to five bedrooms on one or two story builds and square footage ranging from approximately 2000 square feet to 3700 square feet.  The larger, more expensive homes include extra spaces like game rooms, study and an optional open cabana in the exterior rear outdoor living space.  All properties in East Lake have two car garages and their architecture is absolutely European inspired.  The following are the plans offered by the Toll Brothers in East Lake.  The plans are arranged and listed in order from most expensive starting price to least expensive starting price: Carleton ($577,995), Rochester ($569,995), Basilica ($559,995), Glenwyck ($559,995), Reyes ($555,995), Balmoral ($554,995), Normandy ($554,995), Mondovi ($509,995), Ventura ($501,995) and Palladio ($500,995).

Main Street

Want a taste of the way life used to be?  These new houses in Coppell are built in the older architectural styles of Craftsman style and more.  Darling Homes describes their Main Street properties as "Angled parking with tree-lined streetscapes invite residents and visitors to enter an idyllic blend of prairie architectural expressions reminiscent of the classic Texas town square."  A gorgeous development, the owners in this neighborhood will get access to restaurants and retail in addition to real estate built with wrap-around porches.  Darling is offering buyers in Main Street options of six floor plans with 2200 square feet to 2500 square feet, with all plans on two stories with three to four bedrooms and two to three and a half bathrooms.  The pricing on these new Coppell properties starts from $407,990 – $425,990.  The following is a list of plans offered on the Main Street by Darling.  The plans are listed from most expensive to least expensive.  The prices listed beside each plan is a starting point and will increase with certain additional amenities, upgrades and changes by both the builder and the buyer - 1035 Plan ($425,990), 1025 Plan ($424,990), 1030 Plan ($415,990), 1045 Plan ($413,990), 1020 Plan ($411,990) and 1040 Plan ($407,990). 

Nine Oaks

Drees Homes describes Nine Oaks as an exclusive community with only nine available home sites in a cul-de-sac neighborhood zoned to the Coppell Independent School District. Exclusive and upscale this neighborhood is, as it features custom real estate built on wooded lots and starts in pricing from $661,900 – $742,900.  These Drees builds range from approximately 2700 square feet to 4100 square feet with options between one and two story plans.  The houses have between three and four bedrooms with three to four full bathrooms.  There are seven Drees plans from which to choose for those wanting to buy a new house.  The larger, more expensive of the plans will offer upgraded features and spaces like three car garages, media rooms, game rooms and outdoor living spaces.  The plans are as follows and are listed from most expensive to least expensive home.  The prices beside each plan note the starting prices which can and will raise with additional amenities, upgrades and features -  Bracken III ($742,900), Palermo ($729,900), Grayford ($728,900), Ravenna ($727,900), Deerfield J ($694,900), Penmar J ($665,900) and Lorenzo III ($661,900).
