Addison TX Condos for Sale & Real Estate Listings

Addison TX homes for sale are located in the 75001 zip code.  The Addison TX real estate caters to those looking for a simple and maintenance free lifestyle with a majority of the listed properties being condos.

Addison is a suburb located just north of the City of Dallas but in Dallas County. Real estate listings in Addison range from approximately $250,000 to over $1,000,000.  Most of the housing in Addison is zoned for condos and multifamily residential.  However there are a few homes which are detached and considered a single family dwelling.

Buyers will find that many of the single detached homes in Addison were originally built in the 1980's or 1990's as the DFW area expanded to the north and toward Plano along the Tollway.  With the houses in Addison being constructed when they were, some buyers may find that the properties will need a little updating to bring them to today's popular building standards and trends like granite counters, hardwood floors, newer windows, a coat of fresh paint to replace aging wallpaper, new light fixtures to replace those original light fixtures and more.  Some of the real estate in Addison will require this type of work.

However, what buyers will also find is that the homes and condos in Addison are in an excellent location as the city sits right along the North Dallas Tollway and offers residents excellent access to downtown Dallas, DFW and Love Field Airports, the Park Cities, Northwest Dallas, North Dallas, Richardson, Plano, Frisco and McKinney.

If you would like to learn more about Addison TX homes for sale, contact one of our best Addison Realtors via telephone at 972-342-0000 or on the email contact form.  We look forward to helping you with homes and Addison TX real estate.

Living in Addison TX

condos for sale allen txAddison has a reputation for its nightlife, restaurants, bars and seasonal activities like the 4th of July Kaboom Town.  Some are some of the top rated Addison restaurants as rated by Yelp.  Another big attraction to the area is the local Improv Comedy Club.

If Addison, Texas is going to be your new home, you likely want to know a little about this small town. According to recent census data, Addison had an estimated population of just over 15,400 people in 2013, roughly an 18% increase in population from 2010. Although this town is located just north of Dallas, residents do not need to travel south for entertainment. While this is definitely not a full overview of the great things you can do in Addison, here are four things residents enjoy about the community.

WaterTower Theatre

Founded in 1996, the WaterTower Theatre, which performs at the Addison Theatre Centre, produces a variety of shows each year. The 2014-2015 season included performances such as Bonnie & ClydeAll My Sons, and The Santaland Diaries. In early 2016, Lord of the Flies and then The Big Meal will be performed by the group.

Because WaterTower Theatre wants to make tickets to their performances affordable for a variety of audiences, they offer several discounts. For example, students, both college and high school, with a valid ID can get $12 tickets to performances fifteen minutes before the show. As a show of appreciation for their hard work, active-duty U.S. military, their family members, veterans, and first responders can also get discounted tickets. When tickets are available, Addison residents can also get them for a reduced price an hour before each performance.

Cavanaugh Flight Museum

Visitors to the Cavanaugh Flight Museum can take a self-guided tour of an assortment of aircrafts, many of which come from war times ranging from World War I to the Vietnam War. While some are no longer airworthy, many can still be flown. The collection also includes many military vehicles.

Taking a tour of the museum on your own is often enjoyable, but sometimes it is nice to hear about the aircrafts from people who really know the history. Guided tours are available Saturday at 10 am and 2 pm as well as on Sunday at noon or 2 pm. You can also arrange a formal tour at other times when they are open by contacting the museum. The museum also offers private rides on several of their aircrafts. Rides range from about $150 to over $2,000 per person, depending upon the aircraft.

Addison Parks

Addison is a great place to be outside, and with a variety of parks in the community, there are several beautiful outdoor places to enjoy. For example, Addison Circle Park includes gorgeous water features, a pavilion, beautiful trees and flowers, and two stages. It is also home to a variety of special events including Fork & Cork, a two-day event where people can taste a variety of food and wine options while enjoying live music. Both Addison’s Oktoberfest, a celebration which is not just for the adults, and Kaboom Town, a 3rd of July, Independence Day celebration, also take place at Addison Circle Park.

Of course, Addison Circle Park is not the only park in the community which has great features.  For example, Celestial Park includes a sundial where your shadow will go onto the appropriate time-engraved stone, giving you the time of day (although it does not work with Daylight Savings Time). Les Lacs Linear Park, which includes a lake and two playground areas, includes areas for playing sports such as sand volleyball, basketball, and tennis. Addison even has a dog park. Redding Trail Dog Park is separated into two areas, one for smaller dogs, and the other for larger dogs, and it includes drinking fountains for dogs and humans alike. Other parks in the area include walking trails, benches, play areas, and beautiful landscaping.

Restaurants

With over 175 restaurants, it is no wonder Addison is known as a great place to eat. The town has a large assortment of dining options, no matter your food preference. Loving Hut even includes one hundred percent vegan food. Their menu includes items such as spring rolls, Rainbow Salad, and Vegetable Tofu Soup. Typically meaty dishes such as Patty Melts and BBQ Strips are created using things like soy and whole wheat bread instead. Many of their dishes can also be created using a gluten-free option.

Of course, this is Texas, and many Texans love their steak and other meats. Addison also has several steakhouses and places where you can get hamburgers or other meats. No matter what you are craving, whether it is pizza, tacos, pasta, fish, or something completely different, there is likely a restaurant in Addison for you.

Although it is more about the drinking and the entertainment, one dining location you likely will not want to miss is Pete's Dueling Piano Bar. Each night, four highly-talented piano players take the stage, mostly in two-person rotations. With music from a variety of eras as well as dancing, all involved are sure to enjoy the show. Currently, Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar is ranked on Trip Advisor as the top place to visit in Addison.

Whether you have decided to move to Addison or it is just on your list of potential new homes, to fully enjoy what the community has to offer, you need to at least come for a visit.
